THE HAMPTONS, LONDON
The Hamptons houses are located in the suburb of Worcester Park, in south-west London. We had the opportunity to work on different houses in the development by mainly taking over the design and the building regulations applications.
The buildings are 3 storey houses with a back garden and include at ground floor a garage space and a guest room with an ensuite. The main issue is that the living floor is at first level and is not connected to the external backspace. The houses own an exterior parking space which is mainly used to park the cars. The internal garage at ground floor is then void and used as a utility and a storage space.
Whereas some of the properties have undergone some internal alterations in the past, our clients' goals were to make all the changes needed in order to use the ground floor as a living floor and add the extra space they need as most of they are growing families with babies and kids.
The Hamptons #1, 2015
The core of this first project in The Hamptons was to create a large open plane floor connected to the back garden. We applied for a change of use in order to convert the garage space into a habitable space. All the rooms, like the utility and WC are relocated to the front of the property and are designed as minimalist furniture. The rest of the floor is open to the back garden by new full height sliding doors.

The Hamptons #2, 2017
The second property project seeks to open up its front space and connect it to the existing kitchen and garden. We opened the back wall to the garden by the use of full height sliding doors. This all allows light deep into the front area.
